About
Reclaim Your Life
Your choice to seek therapy is the first step in making yourself a priority and changing your life to where you want it to be.
How do we really change?
First, we will explore and understand your own personal programming. As you grew up, you were influenced by social and family interactions, good and bad.
Some memories are tucked away while others feel as if they happened yesterday. These events become stored as particular thoughts and feelings in your own personal “mind file.” They color how you see yourself and others, as well as how you live your life.
You are now seeking help through therapy because you notice you are repeating the same negative-feeling stories and behaviors to the point where you are dissatisfied with life and no longer recognize who you have become – reacting to life rather than embracing it.
Our Journey in Therapy
Our journey in therapy will be two souls connected in a search for self-understanding, growth, healing and personal transformation.
We will take this journey together. As you review your mind files, your story will come out. We will discover what caused you pain, what brings you joy, what makes you tick, and what you want to change in your life to make it better.
You will learn how to recognize your automatic responses based on your childhood programming versus listening to your true inner self speaking from a deeper and more connected heart-centered place.
You will gain the courage, confidence, and skills to make lasting positive changes and live a more joyful and authentic life.
About Me
I am a child of the 70s, so I am a bit of a hippy at heart. I am open to alternative views of the world, both spiritual and metaphysical. So, if you want to discuss life based on your own unique view, I am happy to listen and discuss without judgment.
Being intuitive, I often notice and hear the unspoken language loud and clear which can help me uncover a client’s blind spot. Acknowledging these blind spots is a catalyst for change, and they can really generate some great Ah-Ha moments. I will help you discover your hidden strengths, giving you the courage to make changes, set healthy boundaries, and to put yourself first.
My therapy style is eclectic. I use psychodynamic, positive psychology, mindfulness strategies, and brain neuroscience theories to help you facilitate change. Each session is tailored to a client based on their personality and goals.
On a personal note, I pursued a master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling after mentoring foster youth. I have great empathy and understanding for those that have had major struggles in their life, and I love helping people discover their best selves.
I crave the outdoors and would much rather be hiking with my rescue cocker spaniel Buddy than being at home doing chores. Nature keeps me grounded and soothes my soul, so the laundry can wait!
